Astros
announce plans for World Series ticket on-sale drawing at astros.com "We wanted all fans to have an equal opportunity to purchase tickets to the Astros first-ever World Series," said Bill Goren, Astros Director of Ticket Sales. "A random drawing on-line through astros.com is the best way to accomplish this. We used a similar program when we made individual game tickets available for fans to buy during last year's World Series ticket on-sale and the 2004 All-Star Game." There is a four-ticket purchase limit for each winner selected in the random drawing, subject to availability. Ticket prices for the World Series, as established by Major League Baseball, are $125-$185 per seat and $45 for standing room only. Ticket purchases must be made with a major credit card (American Express, VISA, Mastercard, Discover). Additional fees may apply. If the Astros reach the World Series, the team would host games on Tuesday, October 25 (Game 3); Wednesday, October 26 (Game 4); and Thursday, October 27 (Game 5, if necessary). All dates and times are subject to change by Major League Baseball. For more information, log-on to astros.com or call the Astros Ticket Services Department at (800) ASTROS-2 (800-278-7672). source:
