What Is Shepard1985?
Nothing complicated here. It is a discussion group exclusively for those who attended Alan B Shepard High School, and graduated in 1985. We'll let you in if you somehow managed to graduate early, or otherwise were actually part of this esteemed class.

The group started in 2001, a few days after 9-11. That was five years and 4,000 messages ago

How Does Shepard1985 Work?
You sign up with your e-mail address to start getting connected. You send e-mails just like you usually do, except everyone gets to see them.

You can set your account so that you login to the site to read your e-mail, are sent each e-mail individually, or are sent a daily digest. The daily digest sends one e-mail each day, collecting the previous day's e-mail.

That's It? I Want More!
No problem! We've got plenty more. With your free Yahoo ID, you can access the super-secret parts of our group. Post and read messages directly through the site. You can read older messages you may have missed along the way. We have a section of member photos. You can submit your own, or see others. Occasionally, we have polls just for fun, and even a chatroom.

What's Been Happening?
We've had two reunions, several get-togethers, one marriage, and people discovering old and new friends. The Southtown Economist wrote a story about our group. We've helped out one alumni who is in the military by sending thing he and his troops needed in Iraq.

Our grads are in theater, business, military, politics, big companies and small. They are single, married, divorced, engaged, or dating. Of course, most of it was not a result of the group, but it is where you can find out more.

You'll see links to our hometowns, where we went to college, companies owned by Shepard 1985 alumni, and more than a few interesting and odd links connected to our lives today and yesterday. You'll even see a set of links showing off some of the movies and music we listened to over two decades ago. Yes, yes, there are links to all your favorite Chicago sports teams too!

Over 20 years have passed, and that means we have all had over 20 years of adventures since we last walked the halls of Alan B Shepard High School. What have you been doing?
